Fight! Punch! Kick!
Don't bleed. Don’t' cry. Don't repent.
Since the time we are born till the time we pass away we fight with ourselves assuming that we are fighting for ourselves. These fights make us grow the world around us and eventually we shrink to that very point where we started all these fights. Life is a zero sum game. For instance, a newborn child fights for survival away from the comfort of mothers' womb with itself to accommodate itself towards the realities of the world. With the passage of time we fight with ourselves to bridge the gap between our aspirations and realities. While we mature we fight with ourselves to the extent of compromises we are ready to make. When we eventually have families we again start fighting with our aspiration and realities about what we want our kids to do. Then on later ages we fight with ourselves in accepting the realities. At the end we fight to link ourselves away from the earthly pleasure to the eternal truth that whenever there is a beginning there is an end, leaving behind a life full of struggle, a sojourn.
Just that in this fight with us we don't bleed, cry or repent only grow into different stages of life and leave behind the past as heap of experiences for others to fight.
Its a nice perspective that you brought out. But in this materialistic world I think it is this urge to fight which keeps the world moving.

how would life be without war, violence or as u so elequently put it FIGHT. it will be Utopia.Fantasy. the struggles we face make us want to see the light of another day.
ReplyDeletegreat piece of writing but i see it differently.. as put in 1984 by George orwell, "war is necessary, it keeps the mind occupied". the struggles can cease so will the zest to live life fully. sandy
hmmm, hey sam! this is a great piece of work. u really have brought out the intricacies of life in a very beautiful way. one more thing that i can see from this blog of urs is that it reflects ur identity in the true sense, i.e. of one who'll fight unto the last drop of blood.
ReplyDeletewell, best of luck for future and keep delighting us with such beautiful articles...
Anish..
interesting one!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt makes me wonder what made you view the whole life as a fight. Is it just the strain of neo-Darwinism within you? I think it's rather the struggle that you have to put up in your daily life to meet the demands of your management course. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by.Watch the space for daily updates.
ReplyDeleteThis looks interesting,I'll stroll around here awhile if you don't mind.
actually i read ur blog.. but actually i ddnt find anything to comment.
ReplyDeletebut as usual
very well written
Thanks for commenting and sharing your thoughts.
ReplyDeletehey sammy this is the first time i am reading your blogs and it has really astonished me how beautifully you have described the meaning and the sense of "survival of the fittest".. its all about fight.. its the fight which keeps u moving.. The Darwinian thesis of "survival of the fittest" has turned out to be nothing but a tautology. How do we know existing species were the fittest? Because they survived. Why did they survive? Because they were able to fight better than the others. so the main mantra of this modern world is to fight--- very moment and better than the others.
ReplyDeletewell written sammy--this article truly reflects your personality cause you do have a heart huge like fighters
nice blog dude...
ReplyDeletethe way u've painted the "whole" picture on your canvas is very commendable.
keep up de good work!

Fought! Punched! Kicked!
ReplyDeletebut i think i did cry, i did repent. I feel that it is not a fight with ourselves, rather a fight with this big bad world. Yes, there are moments when you do have to fight with your very ownself. But, all in all it is a fight with the external environment that leaves us crying.
This is just my persepective and another of the plenty of occasions where our views differ. Hope that you don't mind.
perspicacious and expressive.
ReplyDeletevery nicely composed..but what i liked most is that it's not too verbose.....prolix mars the salt of expression
well well... the master of the game turns the dice on the table and spuns magic by actually writing a small nd concise peice thats tempts u and teases u for more.... interestingly put and yes a fight it is ... jus ppl dont want to term it that way at times.... the war of words and in essence i stand by u and it is a fight.,... so we shalll .. at the end of the day its not the big bad world but its you and only you and so u do... fight nd again fight with yourself .. perhaps nt ina negative connotation but inn a positive connotation as well...
ReplyDeleteur spremacy is unrivalled when it comes to writing and i bow to ur scimitar or words...
PS: I an only emulate you but never be the real You
my pleasure Mr. gosh. I will come to your page when i am free but just want to let you i liked your writing
ReplyDeletehey sam!! wow! great!! i really do not have words to comment for. This is first time i am reading your blog and believe me i am really impressed and astonished the way you describe the human life essence in these few words. Nice piece of work buddy! keep it up!!
ReplyDeletedude it is a truth everyone has to face.....in due course of life.....
ReplyDeletebut the question is......if we don't have these struggles ,what is the worth of life....all know that in the end we acquire nothing and in the end die alone...
so i think that the goal or worth of having a life is to struggle....find content ....and finally pass on our experience and example to others to continue...that's where pleasure lies..
It's one thing to fight ourselves or fight FOR ourselves.
ReplyDeleteA cause for concern is when we fight WITH ourselves. It's called Schizophrenia ;-)
Kidding!!!
